Junior Alia Collins has made a lasting impact at Sunlake High School through her dedication to First Priority, a club that combines faith, friendship, and community service. Known for her hardworking and respectful nature, Alia has found that her time with the club has deepened her connection with both her peers and her community.
First Priority has given Alia the opportunity to meet new people and understand the challenges others have faced in finding their faith. She joined the club because she was drawn to its small, close-knit environment, where everyone knows one another and feels included. Through her involvement, Alia has developed strong relationships and a greater appreciation for the power of shared faith and support.
Within First Priority, Alia’s goal is to help others—whether by guiding someone in their spiritual journey, offering encouragement, or simply being a kind presence. She takes pride in being able to make a difference and hopes to help others find both faith and confidence in themselves.
Some of Alia’s favorite moments in First Priority come from the fun and fellowship the club shares. She enjoys playing games, participating in worship, and taking part in Bible studies. Her favorite game, “Sharks and Minnows,” always brings laughter and energy to the group. She also looks forward to the club’s outings to Chick-fil-A after worship sessions, where members relax, bond, and strengthen their friendships.
Among her favorite memories is the club’s annual senior send-off, an event filled with emotion and reflection. For Alia, moments like these capture what First Priority truly represents—a supportive community built on faith, friendship, and a shared desire to make a positive impact.
