Sunlake High School senior Madison Cason was both stunned and delighted when her boyfriend, Jackson Mizell, made an unexpected but very touching homecoming proposal. After a long day at work, Madison was looking forward to resting at home but was unexpectedly met with Jackson holding a bright, colorful poster asking her to be his homecoming date. The event was made even more memorable because of a very special guest, Rocky the dog, who got in on the action and even made the proposal more charming, giving Jackson some help with his extra set of hands, or paws! Sharing her reaction, Madison said, “Jackson surprised me with a sign and flowers. I was very surprised because I had just gotten off work, and I thought it was a very cute surprise.” It was clear that Jackson’s creativity and effort made the night unforgettable for both of them. Of course, the two seniors decided that it was very important to enjoy the dance, because it would be their last homecoming dance of high school! The two intended to have the most fun at the dance and keep the memories alive until graduation. Madison reminisced about the evening, saying, “I had a fun time dancing! The music was good and so was the food. I felt a bit sad knowing it was my last homecoming, but I’m glad I got to go and spend time with my boyfriend and friends.” It was an evening full of laughter, dancing, and smiles, which perfectly captured the energy of Madison’s senior year so far. In contrast to school events, Madison still manages to be a very busy student-athlete. She says, “I play flag football for Sunlake, and I love to read in my free time!” she added. All in all, Madison Cason had an amazing homecoming experience with her homecoming proposal from Jackson Mizell! And of course, the pair had an excellent time at the dance together!
