Sunlake’s yearly club fair is always a blast for the students who get to check out different clubs on campus and figure out new ways to be part of them. The event takes over the courtyard and turns it into a vibrant place with booths, posters, and music. Students are free to walk around, talk with club members, sign up for activities they like, or even play games to get some cool prizes. The vibe is full of life and cheerful as everyone has the opportunity to understand what makes Sunlake’s student life so awesome. It means a lot more to senior Sara Mercier than what club fair might mean to others, because Sara was the representative of First Priority, the Christian club at Sunlake that is all about faith, community, and fellowship. “I was the representative of First Priority, a Christian club at Sunlake! Our club is an amazing community where we can come together, have fellowship, and hear the Gospel,” said Sara with a bright smile. At the fair, Sara did not hold back to get new members and to tell everyone what her club is about. She made her table look awesome, and inviting to the students walking by, and told them to stop if they wanted to know more. The response was awesome, so her work was successful. “More than 80 people signed up, and it was such a great experience,” she said with pride. “Club fair was really fun! We had people playing games, winning prizes, and listening to music!” By the end of the day, Sara was thankful for the opportunity to meet her peers and bring a positive vibe to the campus. An event that shows the most important thing, student involvement and community spirit, is what she loved being a part of. Once again, Sunlake’s club fair turned out to be an enjoyable, warm, and motivating way for students to uncover their interests and create memories that will last forever.
