Frankie Webster, a beloved and dedicated teacher at Sunlake High School, has had quite a hectic week as the first quarter comes to a close. Mr. Webster has been teaching at Sunlake High for several years and is known for his passion and versatility in the classroom. He teaches Digital Design, Yearbook, and recently added Finance classes to his busy schedule.
“As the end of the quarter is coming up, I’m having to pull a lot of the grades,” Mr. Webster shared. Along with grading, he has been working on pulling reports for his Finance classes and reviewing missing or late assignments to help students stay on track. His attention to detail and commitment to his students are evident in everything he does.
In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Webster manages the Sunlake High School website, which has been particularly active this week. He posted updates about the upcoming Butter Bowl and Mrs. Merlin’s weekly newsletter, keeping the school community informed and engaged. For Yearbook, Mr. Webster met with the yearbook advisor to discuss important deadlines and to schedule meetings with the editors and design team. “The meeting is for her to go over the book and see where we are design-wise, layout-wise, and content coverage-wise,” he explained.
After long, demanding days at school, Mr. Webster heads home to a different kind of busyness. As the family chef, he cooks dinner every night before taking his children to their after-school activities—lacrosse practice for his son and flag football for his daughter. “It’s a little bit busy when everybody’s awake, and then it gets even busier when everybody’s asleep.”
Once the house is quiet, Mr. Webster turns to his other passion—running his film company, where he produces wedding and commercial videos. Late nights are often spent marketing, editing films, and emailing clients. Despite the chaos, Mr. Webster remains positive and focused, looking forward to wrapping up his week by filming a wedding for a new client this weekend.
