In an exciting matchup against the Mitchell Mustangs, our varsity volleyball team came out on top, securing the conference championship with a clean sweep in three highly competitive sets. Each set was intense, filled with strong rallies, great defense, and plenty of excitement from both sides. But in the end, our team’s focus and energy helped them pull through.
“I was excited to play and support my team,” player Allison Poll said, reflecting on the big win. “We beat them in three sets, and they were all competitive. I knew we had it when the energy was super high; you could tell everyone wanted it.”
That energy carried through the entire match, especially during one standout moment that shifted the momentum completely. “There was a moment when I got a kill against them that was a turning point for me,” Alli added. “Not only in my confidence for the game, but for the rest of the season.”

Moments like that didn’t just fire up the scoreboard, they brought the team closer together. Communication was sharp, the bench was loud with support, and every player gave it their all. The chemistry on the court was obvious.
After the final point, the team celebrated their conference victory with smiles, cheers, and a well-deserved playlist on the bus ride home. “We were all excited and smiling when we came together in the huddle after the game. Definitely good music was played on the way home as well,” Allison said.
While winning the conference title was a huge achievement, the team knows the season isn’t over yet. “I was really excited about the win, but I knew it was just the start for the rest of the district games we have from now on,” she explained.
More than just the wins, it’s the team bond that stands out. “The program has taught me so much, and I’m never not smiling when I’m around those girls. So much love for all of it!”
With strong momentum and a close-knit team, the volleyball squad is ready to take on the rest of the season and keep chasing their goals.
