Eric Travis is a senior here at Sunlake High School. Eric is a part of Sunlake’s football team and has been playing since his eighth-grade year. The football team celebrated its senior night against Wesley Chapel High School last week. Eric is sad to see the season ending. He has really enjoyed playing with some of these people since eighth grade and getting to meet new people through the years. Eric really enjoyed senior night and getting to have one last football game at home to end his senior year. Eric’s favorite part of the night was the senior walkout before the game. Eric states, “I loved walking down with my family and getting to cheer on all my friends while they walked out with their families as well.” Eric and his teammates tried their hardest, but sadly could not get the win against Wesley Chapel High School. Eric has loved being a part of this team for the past four years. He wishes the seasons had gone better, but he knows they tried their hardest and put all their effort out there every Friday night. Eric has high hopes that his last two games will have a better turnout. He knows he and his teammates work their hardest during every practice, game, and lift in the weight room. Eric wishes the best to the younger players and hopes their football seasons go a little better than his did. He is sad to see the season come to an end, but he is excited for what the future holds and the rest of his senior year.
