Thank You Next

Skit is a on-going homecoming week tradition in which every class puts together a performance comprised of backdrops, costumes, a script, and a recorded audio narration that must follow the homecoming theme of the year. This year’s homecoming theme was a Medieval Homecoming. Senior, Elena Kulubya participated in skit as the role of a knight. The seniors spent over two months perfecting their skit this year and Elena says, “the skit our class put together was definitely the best one we have ever done.” While putting together and performing the skit is part of the fun of homecoming week, skit night is a bit different for seniors who participate. At the end of all the skit performances, Seniors say a special “Thank You” to their friends and families, and parents put together their own performance in honor of the seniors. When asked about how she felt after, Elena said “this skit was the most emotional one yet… it feels like the end of an era.” Although this year’s skit was a sentimental one for Elena, she still “enjoyed seeing how it all comes together.”
