Like many seniors this year, Ava Edwards decided to paint her reserved parking spot. Painting parking spots allows students to personalize where they will park their vehicle for the entire year and it’s a great opportunity for students to show off their style. Ava explained why she chose to reserve her spot, saying, “I do not have to rely on someone else to take me or pick me up” and “…my parking spot is close to building ten—where the majority of my classes are—so I am one of the first one to leave.” Many seniors paint their parking spots according to their favorite artists. Ava talked about painting her spot, saying: “My parking spot says Presidential Parking (Ava’s Version) because I am the Senior Class President, and it is a nod to my favorite artist, Taylor Swift.” Ava also explained the benefits of having a parking spot, saying: “…my friends can come sit in my car before school starts. It’s a nice start to my morning being able to talk to someone.” It’s great that students can use their parking spots to show off their interests and hobbies.
