Senior Laeticia Raad chose to paint her parking spot this year, and had been looking forward to it for a while. She “…chose to paint four bamboo branches, each with a different colored panda on it.” She said she has always loved pandas and thought “…it would be a cool way to show the passage of time, since each panda represents a quarter of senior year.” She expanded on her design by explaining, “I wanted the colors to be bright and pastel so that the pandas would stand out and look cute together. I have always looked forward to painting my spot but I hadn’t thought about the design until a week before.” Regarding the painting day itself, Laeticia said “…it took like 6 hours and I was exhausted afterward, but it was very worth it. I painted with my mom, my sister, and my boyfriend. I would highly recommend having a tent and a LOT of water.” She also exclaimed “…the heat will kill you!!! It was also really awesome to have help and be prepared with all my supplies.” Look out for her adorable spot in the parking lot!
