Gabriella Lopez is a senior at Sunlake and like most of the graduating class of 2024, Gabriella painted her senior parking spot. She enjoyed painting her parking spot with her grandmother and really took her own road. Her design on her parking space was “…footprints and handprints. Originally, we were supposed to do handprints but then my friend Mel and I did footprints because we thought we were funny. The “Reserved for Borus” is because my car’s name is Borus and that’s the license plate. The T in the corner is for my tata who passed way in May.” With a design as unique to her, one would ask, how did you come up with the idea? Gabriella said “I thought the footprints were funny and weird. I didn’t really want something like talking about senior year, or with a quote. I just wanted something different and just funny even though it’s mostly just funny to my friends and I.” With this being her last year at Sunlake Gabriella is looking forward “…to be done with high school. I think senior year will be the easiest and most fun. I just want it to fly by so I can be done.” She’s looking towards the finish line as well as “graduation and spending time with all my friends before everyone goes to college.”
