Many of our Sunlake seniors experienced their last first day at an event known as Senior Sunrise. Hasti Ghahremanikah was one of those many students. Hasti arrived for Senior Sunrise at 6:30 in the morning. She said that coming back to school “…was nice to see everyone that I couldn’t see over the summer. We all took a bunch of pictures together too.” This always comes with a beautiful sunrise as well as a delicious breakfast. This year there was catering from Chick-Fil-a and Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee with muffins, fruit, and an assortment of drinks. Hasti came hungry and said, “…not going to lie the food was really good.” Nonetheless, the event was a great way for everyone to see their friends and watch the sunrise together to kick off the last first year of high school. Hasti said that “…the sunrise was a beautiful morning. I loved the props, the car, and the balloons. It was a really pretty setting.” Since it was our seniors’ last first day, the thought of graduation felt much more real for seniors. Hasti said that “…it was nice, but it felt bittersweet thinking about how it was my last first day.”
