As the summer comes to a close, Sunlake’s newest seniors take their first final steps towards graduation and brighter futures. To celebrate the special occasion, students attended Senior Sunrise. One of these many students was, senior, Jeffrey Vandiver. He shares, “My first day back was fun. I got to reconnect with some friends I haven’t seen in a couple months. I felt weird going into it as I still don’t feel like a senior. My most memorable last first was when I heard the first bell of my senior year.” Continuing with the event itself, “I spent Senior Sunrise with my friends I spent most of the summer with. The event went really well, and everyone seemed satisfied with it.” Jeffrey enjoyed the event and shared his favorite moment from the morning was “…when we took the picture of our whole class at the end of the sunrise. I thought the props that they brought to the sunrise were really well selected and added to the experience of it all.” Overall, he enjoyed being apart of the experience.
