Seniors at Sunlake started their year off with a bang at the Senior Sunrise. Stocked up with donuts, muffins, coffee, and Chick Fil A, this years first senior event made for an exciting welcome back. Students arrived at school at six in the morning and spent an hour eating breakfast and watching the sunrise with friends. Senior Joshua Tedeku (JT) was one of the many students to attend this first event. He attended with his girlfriend Laeticia Raad, who he said “…deserves everything, like she is getting everything in my will.” JT also met up with some friends and took lots of pictures to save the memories. When asked if he enjoyed the event, he said “I enjoyed senior sunrise, I was eating in half of the pictures I’m in so, the food was worth it.” Although he enjoys all senior and school events, JT is most “…looking forward to graduation.” He even went on to say that of all the things he is hoping to experience in his last year of high school, he is excited about “the experience of walking the stage.” JT expects to continue attending senior events throughout the school year, and is excited for what’s to come.
