Plenty of seniors showed up for the last first day to celebrate the Senior Sunrise tradition. It was a beautiful sunrise and an opportunity for seniors to cherish the beginning of their last year of high school with friends. Senior Gian Carlo Felix said, “Senior sunrise was so fun and I enjoyed seeing all my friends from last year. I don’t remember some of their names, but a lot of the people were being very nice to me, letting me follow them and talk with them.” Giancarlo has attended Sunlake for all four years and has made many friends. He has enjoyed his time in high school and is prepared to start his senior year. He explained that he is “…looking forward to homecoming week, all the senior events, and most especially graduation.”
