The first cross-country meet of the season took place last week and the girl’s team dominated! According to senior and track-star Abigail Williams, “Our top five girls placed 1-2-3-4-5, scoring 15 points, which is the best possible score a team can get at a meet.” Abigail actually won the whole meet, which is both a great start to her season and promising to the Sunlake team and their scores throughout this next year. She continued by saying “…it was exciting to see that even with… obstacles our team could win a meet by so much. I feel good about our meet and excited for what’s to come during out season!” Don’t forget to congratulate these amazing girls when you see them!
