Mr. Middleton, a physics teacher, is new this year at Sunlake and has been settling in well. He was interviewed about how his experience has been so far and explained, “It’s an adjustment, but it’s been great so far.” Mr. Middleton used to teach in Hillsborough and commented on how he feels about Pasco’s scheduling, saying, “It starts later in Hillsborough county, with an 8:30 start time.” When asked how he feels about how Pasco starts earlier, Mr. Middleton stated “I’m torn, I think it’s better to start earlier, but statistics show that students aren’t awake yet and ready to learn.” Overall, Mr. Middleton has been settling into Sunlake well, even with a few downsides.
