This year, Sunlake students are ready to get back into the rhythm of balancing classes and life outside of school. Senior Lily Lovins moved to Sunlake in January of 2023. She is looking for opportunities to get more involved this year because of her late start. She said, “…my first week started off a bit rocky because I was still pretty new to the school and didn’t know many people. However, as the days went on, it got easier and easier and I was welcomed by a lot of people.” When asked what her favorite part of school has been, she said “So far, my favorite thing was the football game, but I’m most excited for all the senior activities and for softball season.” In the spirit of getting more involved and participating in senior activities, Lily joined her class’s powderpuff team and she looks forward to the game along with the rest of homecoming week.
