Swim and Dive is one of the first sports to start their season every year. Last year, the swim team excelled and a few Sunlake athletes even made it to the state swim and dive competition. This year, the team hopes to do just as well, if not better. Junior Hope Hodges, a student at Sunlake Highschool has “been swimming since sophomore year..” and continues to “swim as a junior this year.” When asked what her favorite thing about Sunlake swim was, Hope said “…my favorite thing is team bonding and pasta dinners.” However, Hope is not only in it for the social aspect of the sport. She says, “I hope to accomplish being the best version of myself as an athlete.” Hope is very excited to carry out the rest of her season and hopes to compete with her friends more in the future.
