On the 29th of August, Sunlake’s girls golf team played a tournament at Heritage Harbor Golf and Country Club. One of the girls on the team, junior Olivia Cataldo, shared her experiences playing on the team. Olivia explained that everyday the team plays nine holes to build their overall skills and to prepare for tournaments, such as the one on the 29th. In terms of the tournament, Olivia said “The tournament… went very well! I shot one of my best scores ever on the back 9 at Heritage Harbor Golf and Country Club.” Olivia explained that support from her fellow teammates are a big part of performing well while out on the green, saying “My fellow teammates support me a lot. They are always encouraging me to do my best and whenever I have a bad hole they always have my back and they tell me to shake it off and focus on the next hole.” Support is clearly an important part of golf and vital to the success of the team.
