The yearbook has shuffled its deck this year and brought in some new players to the game. One of whom is Abigail Williams. She is a senior who has taken part in multiple of Sunlake High School’s clubs and sports teams. Her love to draw and paint led her to become the vice president of NAHS (National Arts Honors Society). Similarly, her dedication to her community and to leadership led her to me a member of the NHS (National Honors Society). Abigail also loves to run! She has competed in cross country and long-distance track for four years. Her favorite subjects are as she puts it, “NOT math, NOT science”; she enjoys Art and English. Abigail has one sibling. His name is Adam Williams. He also attends Sunlake High School as a sophomore. Abigail also loves her two cats, Thor and Athena. Thor is all grey and reminds her of thunder, while Athena is brown, white and black, which reminds Abigail of a goddess.
When asked why she joined the yearbook she said, “…a lot of previous staff members told me it was an enjoyable class, and it makes you feel like you’re part of a community.” This swayed her to join the yearbook in hopes that she will be able to contribute to her senior year edition of the book. While also having fun, meeting new people and writing stories. Abigail says her goal for this year is to “…contribute to helping people’s voices be heard.” She is interested in covering a wide range of stories, focusing mainly on sports and the daily life of students. Being a senior, her plans for the future are coming up faster than most other students on staff. Her biggest life goal is to major in nursing and become a neonatal nurse practitioner. Her plan: keep running, receive a scholarship for either academics or athletics, do her schooling, get out of college and “do life.” Good luck Abigail!
