Have you ever thought about what a week as a Seahawk was like? Freshman Allison Poll is still getting used to her life here at Sunlake High School. She found navigating her classes in different buildings was a big change from middle school. Allison is getting used to her workload and balancing school, sports, and her outside life. Outside of school, Allison has always been a multi-sport athlete. Allison plays softball, basketball, and volleyball. Allison was thrilled when she learned she had been picked to join the Sunlake volleyball team. Allison has been playing volleyball for four years now and is excited she got the chance to play for Sunlake High School. She also hopes to get the chance to play for the Sunlake basketball and softball teams later this year. Allison enjoyed her shortened week. She states: “Last week was a really good week.” Even though it was a shortened week, Allison said, “I still had a lot of homework and assignments due.” On the early release day on Wednesday, Allison had volleyball practice and powderpuff practice. She also hung out with a friend in between practices. On Tuesday and Thursday, Allison had volleyball games. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday she had a volleyball tournament. Allison said: “The tournament was really fun and we did really well.” Allison enjoys staying involved in her school community with clubs, sports, etc. Allison enjoyed her week at Sunlake. Allison hopes to continue to be an active member in school activities and sports. She loved making new friends and having a shorter week. She can not wait to finish her freshman year here at Sunlake High School and is so excited to see what the future holds.
