Senior Caden Johnson plays for the Sunlake High school football team. Caden felt good about the Homecoming game, noting that he was prepared and excited for the game. Caden said “I feel pretty good. I’ve been practicing all week and I’ve been excited for this game.” Caden believed that his performance was going to be good. He believes he performed good and Coach Fulmer put him on both sides of the ball. His team had a rough start to the season but he’s been ready for the game since the start of the week.
Caden’s prediction for the game Friday is that they would win the game and that they will have a comeback for the rest of the season. The expectations were set high for the game and he believed are going to do good the whole game and come out on top. Caden puts a lot of trust into his team when they get ready for a game. Caden said: “My trust in the team percentage wise, I’d say 90 percent. I trust my team pretty well; I’ve known them a long time we have a good relationship.”
Unfortunately, Caden and the football team didn’t win the game Friday. Caden isn’t sure what happened and he believes his team didn’t start as strong as they should’ve. He says, “…we had a good chance on beating that team, I think that we just didn’t come out as strong as we should have.” He loves playing football and he hopes to play in the future after high school. Caden said: “I plan on pursuing football in college if I can get a scholarship. Yeah, I love playing this sport.” He still wants to pursue his dream of playing football at the college level even after the game. Caden has a strong spirit and believes that they still got it for the rest of the season.
