Homecoming week is one of the most exciting weeks of the year for all Sunlake High School students and staff members. Sophomore football player Trenton Lindsey had a very thrilling week. His Homecoming week consisted of a heavy workload in many of his classes and tough football practices after school in preparation for the homecoming game against Nature Coast Technical High School on Friday. Trenton also played an amazing junior varsity football game on Thursday in a six to zero Seahawk win against Zephryhills High School. He exclaimed, “I had a great game, and I had six pancakes.” This means that during this game, he had six impressive blocks that left a defensive lineman flat on his back.
When asked how he would prepare for the big game approaching Friday, he responded, “I eat good and I sleep good. And, I’ve also been listening to Lil Tecca’s new album to get hype.” This week, he also enjoyed seeing the different things that people wore this week as they participated in the Homecoming week themes. Lindsey took part in Friday’s theme, Sunlake colors, by wearing his football jersey to school school spirit for the homecoming game. He also anticipated the fun, dancing, and food that would be at the Sunlake High School Homecoming Dance the night after the Homecoming game.
