FCA is one of the many clubs at Sunlake with sophomore Zeke Johnson as one of its participants. FCA is a club that promotes Christian athletes and gives them a group to grow and learn with. Zeke explained that “FCA is all about getting to learn and know about God. It’s a gathering of people to have fun and still learn about the Bible and God. This is a place of acceptance, no judgement, peace, and a great way to help your faith in the Lord grow.” FCA can help athletes become closer to God and is a great environment for assisting them in growing their faith. Zeke is a sophomore at Sunlake and has been participating in FCA for one year. It is now his second year in the club and he likes to share with others that, “…they should join since it is definitely more fun when more people are there and they can challenge each other in their faith.”

The meetings are a very fun place to be and never thought of as boring. Everyone gets engaged and learns about God. For Zeke, they usually, “…kick off the meetings with a game and let people get some pizza, chips, and soda. They don’t have to participate in the game if they don’t want to but its really fun. Then we will usually have a guest speaker, or our usual speaker Ross Johnson, give a message about the Lord or Bible.”
