While last week’s swim meeting was canceled, the Sunlake swim team made the best of it. Senior Connor Canfield said that they were all waiting for their swim meet to start, but it was thundering very badly, so instead the teammates went over to the country club next to the pool. “My associate Huy found a piano and started playing flawlessly, which drew some of the residents’ attention. Some old guys came out and asked if we wanted to play poker with them. They led us to a room with a huge fancy poker table and we played until we were kicked out by our coaches; it was rad.” After this fun encounter, the team went out to get food, socialize, and just have fun with each other since their meeting was then canceled. Connor said he then “…kicked everyone’s butt in an arm wrestling tournament.” Hopefully the swim team doesn’t get any more rainy days, but if they do, at least they will make the most of it!
