Sunlake’s boys golf team has been working hard to prepare for the golf season. This past week on September 21st, they played against Pasco High School at Scotland Yards in Dade City. Member of the group, Jonah Romero, said the atmosphere the day of the game “…was calm and fun, everyone on the team wanted to do their best.” Jonah played in the last couple of away games in which he believed he didn’t perform his best; however, during the home games, he played pretty well. He and the team have been working hard in practices and striving to win more matches. Our Sunlake Seahawks beat Pasco High School by 15 strokes. The final score was 152(Sunlake)-167(Pasco) strokes.
Jonah speaks about his history playing golf, saying he started “…at the age of 5 and picked it back up again 3 years ago.” He only began playing for Sunlake this school year. Jonah enjoys participating in the golf team and likes his teammates, saying, “…they are enjoyable and fun to talk to.” Jonah and the rest of the team will continue to soar to success.
