Homecoming week is a special week at Sunlake. It’s full of dress-up days for all the students to dress out in themes that the school chooses. Homecoming is also a week when students get to show their school spirit. In addition to that, all the classes line up and form a parade each morning to walk around the school. The winning class is decided by the APUSH teacher: Mr. Taylor. Day one was Future Me Monday and students could dress how they see themselves in the future. As seen in the photo, seniors Joshua Tedeku and Laeticia Raad dressed as old people to represent their future selves. Joshua said he chose to dress up because “…it’s always fun to show school spirit and you don’t get dress coded.” Josh chose to dress as an old person because he knew that careers could change as time goes on; he went as an old person because being old is in the unavoidable future. Josh enjoyed dressing up and bringing school spirit to Sunlake.
