The Class of 2025 worked tirelessly on their intricate skit that starred the fictional children of famous superheroes. Junior Jack Svengard decided to join this after-school activity, saying,“I wanted to be more involved in Sunlake and I wanted to meet more people and put myself out there.” Skit ended up being an excellent bonding activity as this group practiced for two hours after school twice a week for nearly two months.
In the skit, Jack played the Son of Hulk named Green Bean. His character had to work against the villains trying to stop the school’s homecoming game. Green Bean’s collaboration with three other “super kids” served to defeat the villains, and in Jack’s words, “…keep their Homecoming alive.” Jack had assumed participating in the skit would be perfect for him because of how much he loved acting, and that dedication paid off. He said when the event finally came around, “the overall atmosphere of all of us coming together to perform it was amazing.” Despite the long hours of practice, the team maintained their morale and performed their skit with enthusiasm. Through skit, Jack was able to pursue an activity that suited his interests, and also become more integrated within his Class of 2025.
