Homecoming week is here and activities are kicking off. The events for homecoming include the Pep Rally, Powderpuff, Skit, a Homecoming football game, and the Homecoming dance. On Friday, the 22nd of September, students headed down to the football field to watch the seniors perform their skit and get the team hyped up for the football game. A lot of people showed up for this pep rally even though some stayed in their classes. Many students shared their thoughts on their overall experience.
Noah Lowery is a senior at Sunlake High School. He went to the pep rally with one of his friends and he shared that the overall experience for him was great and added, “It was fun because I got to laugh and enjoy it with my friends.” Atmosphere and energy play a huge part in Pep Rallies and Noah said that the atmosphere, ” …was bad, but towards the end of the pep rally it was good. The weather was miserable but the play was also better than expected.” On the subject of experience, a pep rally’s main goal is to get the school prepared and hyped up for the homecoming football game. It could also make homecoming week more exciting for lots of students. Noah said, “It got me excited for the homecoming game.” After it finished Noah left happy and laughing from all that happened with some great memories. He also added that “…no improvements need to be made for the pep rally and it was an incredible time.”
