The Homecoming festivities lead up to the Homecoming dance. Plenty of hype and excitement is built around this event; it’s the main attraction to homecoming. To many students, this night was unforgettable. The dancing, the singing, the food, everything made this night special. A lot of students attended and some didn’t choose to go at all to Homecoming. Some may not want to go to Homecoming because they don’t know what to expect or what it’s like to go to Homecoming. To encourage others to go, a student shared his thoughts on his Homecoming experience.
Sophomore Tate Carlson had an incredible time going to Homecoming and wanted to share about all of it. There are a lot of things that go into Homecoming such as the pictures and dancing. The first thing students tend to do is take pictures before going to the Homecoming dance. Tate did not take any pictures before the dance but did take pictures on his own at the dance. Besides the dancing, there are lots of other activities to do like eating, taking pictures with different movie sets, or a 360 degree video. Tate said, “I did the spinning photo thing and it was so fun.” Most of these contribute to all the fun at Homecoming and can make it good or bad. Students may question the most fun and worst parts of the dance. Tate said, “I liked that I was able to hang out with all my friends and the DJ was playing really good music and the food was amazing. However, I didn’t like how hot it was.” On the topic of the dance, songs and dancing are a staple to Homecoming. Tate said, “My favorite songs were Skeeyee and probably Rich Flex because they got the crowd hyped up. It also got me hyped up with my friends.”
