The Homecoming dance occurs every fall at many high schools. Students across all grade levels look forward to this dance from the freshmen ready for their first big dance to the seniors whose high school experiences are coming to an end. Sophomore Elias Karam went to Homecoming this year and last year, so he has now been two years in a row. He said, “My experience at Homecoming was fun, there was good music, and I had a good time with friends.” Homecoming has recently taken place in the gym at Sunlake. They offer lots of food in the cafeteria and decorate most of the school for this event. When Elias was asked what he would change about Homecoming, he said, “I would change the music to make it better.” Elias went to Homecoming with several of his friends, and he said that it was better than last year’s Homecoming. The Homecoming theme this year was “Lights, Camera, Action.” The week before Homecoming is called Homecoming Week. Homecoming week contains five different dress up days, each related to the dance’s theme. Overall, Elias rated the dance an 8/10.
