Homecoming week at Sunlake is always a fun time that the students look forward to every year. After a week of creative costumes, school spirit, and a football game, the students finished it off with their annual Homecoming dance. Junior Matias Gonzalez had a great time with his friends at “HOCO” and even brought a friend from outside of school. He says, “…in the picture with me is Lexi Tschopp and I invited her to the dance.” Matias’ favorite part of the night was “…being able to dance and hang out with my friends.” Many other Sunlake students would agree that this is the best part of the night. Some go to the Homecoming dance every year, while others prefer not to go at all. In Matias’ case, he says, “…I go to the dance every year.” One thing he wishes was different about the dance is its location; Matias says he wishes“… that it wouldn’t be at the school, like freshman year.” Every student has their own personal memories and experiences at high school events, and Sunlake students are always excited to be involved in as much as they can. Homecoming is just one of the many opportunities that the Seahawks get to make the best of high school with their friends.
