Sophomore Colton Willmore had an amazing time at Sunlake’s Homecoming 2023 and could be frequently found in mosh pits. Colton described the mosh pit as “…truly uncomfortable but through everything I was having fun.” He felt sweaty, hot, and excited all at the same time. Colton enjoyed spending time with his close friend Nathaniel Peguero. Colton said, “Spending Homecoming with my best friend was the best time I’ve had in a while.” Colton and his friend were singing along to the lyrics of “First Day Out” by Tee Grizzly. Colton explained, “It’s one of my favorite songs. I know it word for word, bar for bar, and it’s one of my hype songs.” He also said, “A mosh pit is a bunch of people that come together when everyone hears a well-known song.” Colton and his friend posed for pictures whenever they saw the camera and the opportunity. After, Colton left the dance floor because he was hot and sweaty and needed to cool off by getting water and chili. Colton stated, “I could barely breathe; I needed to get out of the mosh pit to rehydrate so I could get more energy to have more fun.”
