Junior Addison Boehmer has been cheering for four years! Her favorite thing about cheerleading is the culture behind the sport; she enjoys the friendships and sisterhoods she has created as a team with all her friends. Addison takes a lot of pride cheering on the sidelines at football games. Addison stated: “This season has been full of surprises. We have faced many challenges throughout the season, but as a team, we have always looked forward and thought positively, and are always able to overcome the challenges. This year the team has accomplished going to UCA Cheer Camp over the summer learning new skills and techniques that will improve our team’s skills for upcoming sideline seasons, and even the competitive season. The team has also grown; we have supported and pushed one another to hit new skills and look good on the sidelines.” In the upcoming season, the team can be better at being organized and learning how to work together to overcome adversity. Addison said, “I also say as a whole team, the environment and motivation can improve so everyone wants to be a part of the team in the future and bring spirit to pep rallies, spirit walks, and even the student section at football games.” Addison loves cheerleading and is so grateful for all the amazing opportunities it has presented her with!
