Sunlake High School offers various rigorous classes. Each year, there are more and more classes to choose from. This year the dual enrollment class, Introduction to Humanities, was added to the list of courses on campus. This class is a one-semester course which focuses on the study of history in art and religion.
Senior Santiago Rodriguez is one student who chose to enroll in this course for his first semester. Santiago offered his perspective on the class, describing it as “…fairly easy and not that rigorous, considering it is a dual enrollment class.” Each week there are five or more assignments due by the end of the week. Most days are canvas based with one lesson per week being a lecture.
While Santiago finds the class enjoyable, he also mentioned that “…the material can be more engaging at times compared to others,” like many courses. Santiago’s insight can be valuable for students considering this course. He suggested that Introduction to Humanities is a great class to take for those “…who love art and history; but if not, you might want to choose a different class.”
