Halloween is a holiday where kids can dress up as anything they want. Halloween is typically known as “spooky season” in the U.S. Samantha Barnes is a senior at Sunlake High School. One of her favorite holidays is Halloween. Her and her family love decorating their house to celebrate the fun season. They do different themes each year. Sam said, “Our theme this year was skeletons. We decorated our porch with a skeleton family, dogs, and rats. We placed a giant skeleton in our yard and a smaller one on the roof with a lantern.” She also shared, “My family decorates every year with different themes as a tradition.” Decorating their house is a big part of Samantha and her family’s Halloween traditions. She has been decorating her house since she was young. Her favorite thing about decorating her house “…was the Halloween music we listened to and the movies we watched while setting up.” She loves decorating each theme because they are so unique.
