The week of October 16 to the 20th was the second to last week of this years volleyball team. This week, two games were played. The one on the 17th was against Springstead High School and the one on the 19th was against Land O’ Lakes High School. Junior Vanessa Sierra said, “…it was a mostly empty week because it was the 2nd district week and it was going to be a tougher game because of the lower ceiling.” Using one word to describe the week she said mostly positive. To her POV of the games that week, she thought they were going to lose because Land O’ was coming back, but in the end they won both the games that week. On the first game against Springstead, the game resulted in a 3-0 giving a win to Sunlake. Two days later on the 19th, they went up against Land O’ Lakes and won with a 3-0. This shows their win rate this week was a 100 percent. The game against Springstead that week was part of the district tournament and with their win they got to move on in the tournament. All six matches in the two games this week were won meaning they won all games over this week.
