Sophomore Sofia Bonilla is playing soccer on Sunlake’s varsity girls soccer team. The girls started off the season in their preseason classic against Academy of the Holy Names. The girls came out on top with two wins and a total of seven goals. Sofia is very excited to be starting the season. She said, “I love to be on the team because of the spirit our team has and how we all support each other. It feels so great to win games, especially starting the season, because it motivates us to keep going.” When asked what she is most excited for in Sunlake soccer, Sofia said “…hopefully we make it as far as we did last year, if not farther, which makes me most excited.” Sofia, along with the rest of the team, is extremely excited to see where this season takes her.
