As semester one came to a close and winter break began, there was a band showcase for the Sunlake band students. This showcase in question is the yearly winter band showcase for band students in which they perform their winter concert. This was also their last concert of 2023 on December 20th. Part of the reason this concert is done every year is to bring on the winter break and finish off another year of concerts. The concert was held at Wesley Chapel Performing Arts Center. Of the many students involved in the concert that Wednesday was Isabella Bylund, who is a senior in the schools band. Isabella said the reason she chose to participate is, “I chose to participate because I wanted to be able to perform in a setting that was not a full band.” To Isabella’s POV, the reason she thinks they do the yearly showcase is to give back to our families and show off our musical talents.
