As midterm season hits the bustling hallways of Sunlake High School, one junior, Ava Melvin, is not letting the pressure get to her. With an admirable dedication to academic excellence, Ava is channeling her focus towards mastering the material for her upcoming midterms.
Among the array of subjects Ava is tackling, it is AP US History that has her feeling a bit more on edge. Despite the nerves, Ava remains optimistic, as she stated, “I felt kind of good on some of them.” In total, Ava faced three midterms, with AP US History and AP Precalculus causing the most pre-exam jitters.
To conquer the challenging material, Ava adopted a strategic approach to her studies. “I studied a total of 9 hours for APUSH, one hour for APES, and two hours for AP Precalc,” she shared. Ava’s method includes thorough reviews of previous tests and answering potential midterm questions. Not one to face the academic battlefield alone, Ava also engages in group study sessions with friends.
Remarkably, Ava found her study technique to be most effective in preparing for the AP Environmental Science midterm. As she navigated the sea of textbooks and lecture notes, Ava Melvin stands as a testament to the hardworking spirit of high school students striving for success during midterm season.
