The football team at Sunlake started the season this year with new coaches, including head coach, Jay Fulmer. The previous season did not go as expected, but now the team is working to rebuild and gain back their strength to become better as a whole. Since last season, the roster looks a little bit different and there have been some new additions to the varsity team. It has been a season of resilience and growth for the team, as they ended with a record of 1-9. They hope to work to change that next season. These boys still have so much to be proud of from this season, especially the four players who were recognized for the Sunshine Athletic Conference all-star team; these four players included senior Zachary Merriman, senior Kolin Murphy, senior Caden Johnson, and senior Bradley Kovac. Many of the players have also been getting offers to play football in college due to their hard work academically and athletically. Hopefully, in the near future the team will have more wins to celebrate and a great comeback story for the Seahawks to share!
