During the week 12/11-12/15, freshman Jordin Lewis had a very eventful week. Jordin is an athlete that is always busy during the week with soccer. She plays competitive soccer for West Florida Flames and has practice three times a week. Participating on a team that is a whole year ahead of her, she thrives in the competitive environment. Her team is trying to make it to nationals and win the whole league which is why all the players on the team dedicate so much time to practicing and preparing. During the week before break, there were holiday dress up days for Christmas time. Jordin participated in all of the dress up days. When asked about her favorite dress up day, she said, “Ugly sweater day was my favorite because it was cold outside so I could wear whatever I wanted.” Like many students, sweater day was an easier dress up day so more people participated. On Friday, she went to the Sunlake basketball game against Wesley Chapel. When asked if she enjoyed going to the game, she said, “It was fun and I got to hangout with my friends so I enjoyed it.” The girls basketball team is trying to do better than they did the previous year and students taking the time to watch and support them really makes a difference.
