The varsity boys basketball team at Sunlake has been having a great season so far and there are a lot of talented players. George Clark, a junior, has been on varsity for two years and is very passionate about the sport and his team. He said, “My favorite part of being on this team is being able to rely on my teammates both in basketball and at school.” There have been ups and downs throughout the season but overall have been able to pull through with some great wins. They have also shown improvement since last year, and George said, “I feel like the team this season is better than it was last year since we are more like brothers than just teammates like last season.” The team was able to win their game on December 13th against river ridge, “…through execution and aggressiveness,” said George. Along with their other wins, this will put them in a good position to continue excelling throughout the season and hopefully win the district championship.
