Our Seahawks are always busy doing fun things in their life away from school! Senior Jillian Moore spent her weekend in Boca Raton visiting Florida Atlantic University. Jillian drove up there and stayed with one of her close friends, who lives on campus in one of the dorms. Not only did Jillian get to visit some of her friends who attend FAU, but she got to meet so many new people and create many new friendships. The highlight of her visit was the basketball game she attended, where FAU played the UAB blazers and won 86-73! She likes to watch FAU basketball on television, and with them being in the Final Four last year, it was cool for her to be able to watch it in person with her friends and such a lively crowd of people. Beyond the courts, Jillian got to embrace the social scene, joining in on fun parties with her friends and fully embracing the college lifestyle for a weekend. Jillian said, “FAU has always been one of my top choices for colleges to attend, and going up there for the weekend and being able to experience things like the dining hall, staying in dorms, the fun and unique places in Boca, and being all around college students, has really furthered my excitement for college and possibly going to FAU. I absolutely love the campus and how homey it feels. I think it is important to choose a college with a welcoming and homey environment, and a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, and that is exactly what FAU is like.” Jillian had such an amazing time visiting Florida Atlantic University and is so excited to make more memories and embark on her future!
