The 2023-2024 Sunlake Girl’s Soccer team has had a record breaking season. With a game record of 18 wins and one loss, Conference champs, and Champions League winners, the team is expected to take it all the way to states again this year. This is incredible after the team went to states for the first time in Sunlake history just last year. Because of the team’s outstanding accolades this season, the seniors on the team deserved a night to remember. With the help of parents, coaches, and fellow teammates, the seniors got exactly that. Senior Gaby Carrioni said, “I’ve played for this team since I was a freshman. When you’re that age, you look up to seniors and think about what your senior night might look like. It’s crazy how fast time passes and here I am on the night that I’ve been waiting for since I was a freshman. It was amazingly put together by our families and coaches and I am extremely thankful for this team.” The Lady Seahawks are extremely excited for the rest of their season and hope to make it as far, if not further, as they did last year.
