Senior Jordan Merola is one of Sunlake’s varsity cheer captains this year. Jordan said, “My four years on the Sunlake High School varsity cheerleading team were amazing in so many different ways. Each year had its challenges, but I was still so proud to be a part of it.” Jordan has loved cheering for Sunlake’s football team every Friday night with great friends alongside her. Her stunt groups lifting her up and helping her get the student section going, leading cheers, and having the student section join them was always such a fun time. From back tucks and back handsprings across the mats to flying in the air, the games were always a blast for her. Jordan said, “Being chosen as a captain my senior year was a major accomplishment and a privilege. My hard work and being a role model to others is very important to me to help me grow as a person for future endeavors.” Jordan has learned so many things from cheerleading and has made so many amazing friends from her freshman year to senior year. Throughout her four years as a high school cheerleader at Sunlake, she has grown in so many ways and has learned how to deal with anything that comes her way. She will certainly miss her cheerleading days, but she will always be a Seahawk and that is something that will never be forgotten.
Cheers to the Memories!
