FBLA is one of many clubs held at Sunlake High School. FLBA stands for Future Business Leaders of America. The club was made for students who want a career in business in their future. It is held all over the United States and Mr. Lewis is the sponsor of the club. It is full of competitions and leadership to help students prepare for their future in business. On February 6th the district XI FLBA ceremony was held at River Ridge High School from nine in the morning to noon. The District XI middle and high school members of FBLA assembled at River Ridge to find out who won the opportunity to move from the district competitions (held in mid-January at Land O Lakes HS) to the state championships (held in Orlando from March 15-18 of this year). The FBLA sponsor Mr. Lewis said, “The Sunlake High School chapter of FBLA had 31 students win at the district level. Of those, 19 students will be attending the State Competition in March.” He also said the winners at the state competition will qualify to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Orlando in June of this year.
