Junior Isabella Santos just got back from New York City. She was “…celebrating my little sister’s 11th birthday…” in the Big Apple. This is Ms. Santos’s third time in Manhattan and this time was special because they “…got to go skating at Rockefeller center plaza.” For Isabella, this was her “…second time seeing a Rockefeller Christmas. But the first time I was 11 and I was miserable because it was really cold. It was snowing and there was sludge and ice. But this time we were lucky because it only snowed our last day in Times Square. It was like Santa’s dandruff.” Isabella went to the Ice Cream Museum and “…ate ice cream. It wasn’t really a museum more so than it was a photography studio.” Isabella also went to the Summit One Vanderbilt observation deck. “It was really cool and the elevator, we went up like 90 floors in a few seconds. All the floors were made of glass and mirrors. It was a beautiful day in the city when everything was super sunny, and the view was great.” Isabella was in New York for four days, and when she went to Times Square, Empire State of Mind played “..like five times…” and Isabella thought “…it was really annoying.”
