In this year’s soccer season, the boys’ team has only lost two games out of the twenty-four played. Last week, the boys played in the District Finals against Mitchell High School and won with a score of 1-0, showing how difficult the game was. Senior Corey Carter, when asked how the game went for him, said, “The Mitchell game was by far one of the most intense games of our season.” This game was his last chance to win another district title, which made the game even more tense and important. Corey had also said that he thinks that the team played better in the district final than they had all season. Having contributed to the team’s success, Corey said he was “…happier than any other moment in Sunlake soccer.” When asked about his thoughts about this season compared to his previous ones, he said that this season “…has been the most enjoyable year and by far the most supported by other students and fans.” With both of the soccer teams making it past District Finals, Seahawks have stepped up their support, which has not gone unnoticed. The team’s goal is to keep winning until they hopefully get the State Championship rings this year.
