Whenever a break rolls around, our students must find ways to pass the time, with winter break being no exception. With many holidays taking place during the two weeks of no school, many students choose to spend time with their friends and family. One such student who spent time this winter break with his family was senior Matthew Lopez, who explained that he spent this winter break with his family and girlfriend of one year. “It was my one year anniversary with my girlfriend and last Christmas with my family before I become a Marine for the United States in July,” Matthew said.
Sharing what he did over the break, Matthew detailed “…my girlfriend and I went to St Pete’s Enchant on the 30th of December”. Matthew explained he enjoyed the experience and when asked about whether he was happy or not about the break ending he said, “I wish I could have continued the beauty of Christmas a little bit longer” but further explained that he was glad school was back in motion as it meant “I’m closer to graduating and becoming who I was meant to be on the outside.”
Spending time with friends and family is a great way for our students to stay connected with those who matter most to them, and times like winter break make this possible!
